Personality (mostly to see your characterization):
Carefree and careless, Antonio is a man of many words and seemingly little thought. He tends to stick to one default mood - happy - and tries not to let anything bring him down from it, but it's not exactly the best coping mechanism, and things tend to build up with less than desirable results (read: sunny with a chance of psychopathic). 'Tonio will do his best to be smart and in control, but most of the time he prefers to daydream and be nothing short of an oblivious idiot who gets confused really easily, but maybe his childhood therapist had something to do with that. Hmm.

In any case, he's usually a cheerful, easy-going person who gets along with just about everyone, loves his profession because professionalism is something almost completely absent from it ("I can grow tomatoes in a canvas pot and call it art, si? And I don't even have to wear a tie!") and is extremely fond of children. Antonio gets a lot more than he lets on, and he's really very friendly. Most people see him as one-dimensional, but it's mostly a product of his mistrust, and it will take a lot to crack him and get his more honest, sweet and perhaps vicious side. Once he's yours, though, he'll be as loyal as a lovesick puppy. Have fun with that.

As a teacher, he seems quite lenient but will easily hand out detentions with a sunny smile. He's trained for VA, textiles and food tech, but seeing as he's just a student teacher (and there isn't actually a VA teacher yet in the staff) he can be a substitute as well. He's the kind of guy who tends to ramble on, but if you pay attention he actually spills out a lot of valuable information.

Roleplay sample (minimum 200 words):
"But Marcello," staring in blatant confusion at his blurred reflection in the mirror, "I don't think there's anything else...are you sure I'm forgetting something?"

Gleaming olive eyes narrow to a sliver as the cat yawns. Antonio furrows his brows. "What are you - ? My hair? What's wrong with it?"

A non-committal mrrow escapes Marcello's throat, and he stalks out of the room with ears flicked languidly forward.

"I don't understand," calls Antonio, tipping his weight onto one foot and pouting at the mess of brown locks that is his hair. It doesn't look that bad, just a little fuzzy. He runs his fingers through it, patting the top of his head critically. Maybe if he tries to comb it…?

There's no way he can find his comb in time, though. And something else he's sure he's forgotten, but Marcello's gotten tired of helping him and is sitting at the balcony window, licking his tail, and that can't mean Antonio needs to lick his tail because he doesn't have a tail (he's checked), unless - unless, oh, is he actually trying to tell him to comb his hair? Because Marcello's grooming himself so maybe that's telling Antonio to groom himself but school starts in five minutes and he only has time to grab a grey sock and what looks like a grey sock in the dim light of his room before he skids out into the flood of sun slanting into the living room, slipping on papers and clothes he hasn't had time to organise, and is that a briefcase? Yes it is, and he's going to trust that everything is inside already and that his first day at school will not be a complete and utter disaster but hang on - his hand gropes at an open collar, catching a pair of spectacles hooked over it and shoving them on his nose - instantly, his vision clears and his subsequent beam is so bright it almost shatters his newly-found glasses as he charges towards the door.

The door is firmly closed and unlocked as he thumps down the stairwell of his apartment with the briefcase tucked under his arm and takes off on his bike with the usual leap-and-pedal strategy. Three minutes. Three minutes to get there, sign in and make a good impression on the staff and students and prove that he can teach, no matter how many times his high school career adviser tried to convince him otherwise! It's only when he stops in front of the gate five minutes late and is about to sprint inside that his stomach decides to remind him of the very thing he was sure he had forgotten.

Another five minutes later, a messy-haired Mr. Fernandez-Carriedo wearing mismatched socks stumbles into his first class, smiling through a tomato sandwich begged off the cafeteria in record time and affably oblivious to the fact that he is very much in the wrong classroom.
