Student council elections
Mon 30 Jul - 20:46 by Matthew Williams
EDIT: Congratulation to Alfred for becoming president!
Every student willing to run for the Student council elections will have to give a small speech on their motivation; They also will have a week to convince people to vote for them.
The winner of the elections will become president, while the second best will assist him as vice president.
You may run for the treasurer and secretary post separately.
((post your "speech" here and rp out your promotion! people who didn't post said IC speech will not be considered as running up for a post. You will be asked to vote IC for who you think your character would vote for on Sunday. Teachers can't vote.))

School's rules
Tue 12 Jun - 14:12 by Admin
Following are our school's rules; we expect all students to follow them. Going against them will cause an immediate sanction. Severe offenses may result in expulsions.
1) Uniforms are mandatory on school's grounds. While we do allow students to alter them in some ways, we do ask of them they keep it close to the original. Skirts have to fall at least mid-thighs.
2)Violence is not allowed in any cases. Verbal violence, bullying, or fights will not be tolerated and will be faced with severe punishments.
3) Alcohol, weapons or drugs are not allowed on school grounds. This includes personal multi function knives or cigarettes.
4) Teachers will check the dorms after the curfew; past 10PM everyone is meant to be in their respective rooms, sleeping.
5) Male students aren't allowed in the girl's dorms, Female students aren't allowed in the boy's dorms.
6)Respect your teachers and environment. Mocking a teacher or littering will be punished.
7) Students are allowed to go in town, but not out of it. Please act like responsible people and stay out of trouble there.
8) Skipping classes is forbidden. You may miss classes if you get a note from the infirmary.
9) Students are not allowed in the teacher's lounge; they also have to ask permission before using any classroom out of class times.
((Those rules are the school's rule, IC; of course you're allowed to not follow them but know it will have consequences IC too. If a student really earns themselves an expulsion, since we don't want to kick rper out for that, we will find a way to come back or stay, don't worry!))

marguerite williams - fem!canada - application
Name: Marguerite "Margie" Ethel Williams
Country representing: Canada
Age: 15
Student or teacher?: Student
Personality:
Marguerite's personality is best perceived in what the students at her old school knew to be her "natural habitat": alone, in the back of classrooms, getting lost in her thoughts. She has a wild imagination that could span an entire universe (or two). Her ideas, when put onto paper, don't seem as good to her as they are in her head, where she can visualize practically everything the way she wants it. Still, writing is her passion. No one is allowed near her notebook.
Margie is a rather awkward girl, but not as socially inept as people generally perceive her as. She was much shier when she was a younger girl, which kept her from making many friends. Nobody remembered her because she constantly hid from the other kids, but she proved to be rather unremarkable in the eyes of her peers anyway. Her prescence constantly goes unnoticed by the people surrounding her. She may be alone most of the time, but the Canadian doesn't really think of herself as lonely. She's completely fine with the way she is (as long as she has a notebook, some music, and a Wi-Fi connection). She views friendships and relationships at her age to be rather frail and frivolous anyway.
She's pretty inept at most of the things she does - painting, sports, music. However, she is extremely intelligent, and, as mentioned above, is a fantastic author. Her self esteem is rather average; at times, she thinks that maybe if she was good at sports, people would notice and like her. Things aren't as black as they used to be for Margie, and she likes to think she's in a good part of her life.
She speaks English and French.
Some more descriptive words for Margie: Witty, clever, intelligent, creative, imaginative, aloof, easily flustered, calm, passive-aggressive, extremely forgetful.
Appearance(a description is needed, we don't ask pictures):
Margie has been growing out her honey blonde hair all of her life. It reaches halfway down her back, and she holds it up in pigtails most days. She sometimes braids her hair or does other fun things to it. Several barettes adorn her hair as well, including two ruby red ones she wears without fail. She has blueish-purple eyes hidden behind oval-shaped glasses. Her cheeks are very squishable.
She's always been a bit on the chubby side, but she could care less. She enjoys her diet and has learned to love her body. She's also pretty short - 5'4", to be exact. Her usual choice of clothes is a t-shirt and jeans/skirt.
History (to see how you translate the country's actual history into your character's background):
Margie was born into an extremely dysfunctional home in Quebec, with two parents constantly at war with each other. It didn't take long for her mother to leave with her brother, leaving her with his father. He constantly had her doing chores and odd jobs to bring income into the home. No matter what she did, the two of them were rather poor for most of her childhood, once barely having enough food for two meals a day at a time. Feeling that her father didn't work hard enough for her, she eventually ran away to her mom, but her mom made her go home.
The extra money that the father had obtained during her rather short absence (he had spent almost all of his time trying to get a better job) went to getting her into the Academy.
Roleplay sample (minimum 200 words):
Margie wiped the sweat from her brow and entered the dormitory - empty. She sighed and plopped onto her bed, throwing her bag behind her. After a couple minutes of catching her breath, she smoothed herself out and eyed the other bed. There wasn't much to see, really... the thought of sharing a room with someone she didn't even know made her nervous. What if they hated her and put rats into her sheets during school? What if they threw out all of her stuff or stole it and sold it on the black market? What if -
No no no! Good thoughts, Margie, good thoughts. She coached herself through the bathroom, where she religiously washed her hands after the rather grimy plane ride from Quebec. She would take an (at least) 15 minute shower later. Now, she needed to make sure she knew where all of her classes were. There was a map of the school in her bag which she went to retrieve. The Canadian girl unzipped her bag and reached for the pouch that held the -
Where is it?
Margie frantically emptied out her bag and threw its contents behind her. Her panting grew louder as she searched twice, then three times, then four, but to no avail. She felt the pouch one last time, defeated. She would have to ask for another one after all...
